Service Description

Program Description: "Connected & Confident" Technology Class Connected & Confident is a hands-on technology training class designed to help older adults and individuals with disabilities gain essential digital skills for everyday life. In a patient and supportive environment, participants learn how to confidently use smartphones, access medical apps, send messages, join video calls, manage appointments, and stay safe online. Whether you’re brand new to technology or just need a refresher, this class breaks down digital tools in simple, easy-to-follow steps empowering everyone to stay connected, informed, and independent.

Cancellation Policy

Purpose: To ensure a safe, respectful, and productive virtual learning environment for all participants, staff, and partners involved in the Rebuild and Rise Workforce Development Program. 1. Attendance & Participation Participants are expected to attend all scheduled online sessions on time. Active participation (camera on when possible, contributing to discussion, completing assignments) is required for successful completion. Notify staff in advance if you are unable to attend due to an emergency or conflict. 2. Online Conduct Treat all participants, instructors, and guest speakers with respect. Disruptive, offensive, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Hate speech, harassment, or use of inappropriate language will result in immediate removal from the session and may lead to dismissal from the program. 3. Privacy & Confidentiality Do not record, screenshot, or share any part of the virtual sessions without written permission. Respect the confidentiality of fellow participants’ personal stories, opinions, or challenges shared during sessions. 4. Technology Expectations Participants must have access to a device with internet capability (loaner devices may be available). Keep your device charged and ensure that your microphone, camera, and speakers are working properly before each session. Technical assistance is available reach out to the staff if you need support. 5. Assignments & Communication Submit assignments on time via email or the designated platform. Use professional, respectful language when communicating with instructors or peers online. Check your email or messages regularly for updates and announcements. Agreement By participating in Rebuild and Rise’s online sessions, you agree to follow this policy. Failure to do so may impact your ability to continue in the program.
